The Santa Fe Leadership Center was established in response to the growing need for leadership training for current and aspiring school leaders in exemplary schools.
Our Mission:
Through opportunities for professional growth, lifelong learning, and renewal, the Santa Fe Leadership Center (SFLC) inspires and prepares individuals for service as outstanding school leaders.
We fulfill our mission by:
- Holding several seminars each year that significantly improve leadership in schools.
- Preparing these seminars to suit the individual needs of participants.
- Keeping the focus on the individual school leader and committing to advancing that leader’s career for the benefit of schools.
- Offering strategic thinking and articulation consulting to chief school leaders.
- Providing on-going leadership coaching and in-school administrative team retreats.
- Advancing shared knowledge on leadership as it is practiced in all kinds of schools.
Our Core Values:
- Trust
- Respect
- Insight
- Foresight
- Confidence
- Inclusion
Our Vision:
SFLC strives to improve individual leadership, to develop a community of leaders through learning, and, over time, to make a significant difference in the quality of leadership for schools in service to children and adults.
Along with the annual Santa Fe Seminar series, the Santa Fe Leadership Center also offers:
- Individualized coaching for Heads, Division Heads, Deans, Board Chairs, and those individuals who seek advice on career growth.
- Facilitation of administrative team workshops and retreats, custom designed for the needs and goals of a specific team.
- Help for school heads and board chairs in sustaining good leadership and positive relationships.
- Marketing, positioning, mission and vision planning workshops for administrative teams and boards.
- Career Advancement Counseling
- Strategic Design Consultation
- New Initiatives Research, Design and Evaluation
Each of these workshops and services is designed with the purpose of helping participants be more effective leaders in school communities. Our approach is inspired by the works of Peter Senge, Robert Evans, Robert Greenleaf, Peggy McIntosh, Marcus Buckingham, Jim Collins, Edgar Schein, Ronald Heifitz, Marty Linsky and all of our participants in the Santa Fe Leadership Seminars.
